CEO Message

On Friday, REALTORS came to UCAR to discuss the changes at www.utahrealestate.com and WFRMLS. It was an interesting discussion with buyer's agents who were concerned about showing the full address of listings on the public site. These agents felt that full disclosure of these addresses would lower the value of a buyer's agent. The discussion had many thinking about what type of value agents bring to their clients. Is our value to clients only the data and access to the MLS?

We need to look at what we bring to the table and it is more than just data. We bring professionalism and service to clients who are making a big decision and investment. I don't believe that withholding information makes you more valuable, your value comes from your knowledge and service that you provide. Don't assume that just because you have the data, you have everything a client wants. Work to be more professional and knowledgeable about the local market so clients will be calling for your great service instead of an address.
